These motivators are important to study, because within those simple concepts can be the potential for many different kinds of motivation ideas. I suggest that to get your visitors motivated the most, that you should be incorporating any and every form of motivation that you can think of. Although beware not to confuse your visitors either. Give them the motivation, and then make it simple and easy for them to follow the steps of using the tell-a-friend script.

If you can motivate visitors to tell others about your site, you may be in for a growing enslaught of traffic.
