Tell-a-Friend Hybrid Script on the way!

Most people who have an interest in viral marketing already know about the power of tell-a-friend scripts. They allow you to get free word of mouth referrals from your website visitors, and if your site is good enough or if you offer an incentive, then your site may go viral very easily.

Well, there's a new kind of Tell-a-Friend script that my friend Mathew Frank and I have been working on. Actually he's been the one working on it, since he's the programmer, but I've been throwing in my request for features in order to turn it into a super tell-a-friend script like no-one has seen before.

What does it do differently? I'm glad you asked. :)

It is a name capture/tell-a-friend hybrid. You can add it to your squeeze page, and when people put in their name and email (As they do on a squeeze page), Mathew figured they should also have the form fields to tell their friends about it as well. Make it a 2 in 1 deal. I thought, wow, that's genius.

I had a different idea for a feature to increase the incentive, and when I suggested it to him, he loved it. My idea was to have an extra form field to add an affiliate ID after your name and email, and that way the links in the messages sent are automatically customized as affiliate links.

We've already started testing these as two different scripts, but will soon be releasing these as one that you can customize each with any or all of these features, and we've even got a few more features that I can't tell you about just yet, but I can say that you've never seen a tell-a-friend this powerful.

Viral ClickBank Commissions!

Yes it's true, you can now earn ClickBank commissions virally!

Before I fully divulge how, I want to just saythat one of the biggest issues I've heard internet marketers complain about with ClickBank is that they limit you to a 1-tier affiliate program. Why do they limit you? Well, I don't know for sure, but there's many possible reasons, the number one reason would probably be because it's easier for them. Less hassle, less work, and they already have a huge affiliate base.

2-tier affiliate programs are primarily a way to grow yourself a huge affiliate base by adding the viral incentive to refer other affiliates to the program. Since ClickBank has been in the affiliate business for a long time and has a good reputation, it's now hard to come by an affiliate marketer who hasn't heard of them, so they probably don't feel they need a second tier.

Anyways, lets get onto this new revolutionary service that allows you to earn ClickBank commissions virally. It uses a method known as Contextual Advertising, and it's so simple to use for monetizing your site, that it puts google ads to shame!

Top Adsense marketers like Joel Comm have preached about the power of simple text ads used throughout your website copy. These types of ads are just simple links that your eyes follow over naturally as you read the content of the page. Because it's right there in the body of the content, it has the readers attention, and thus their curiosity kicks in, and they click it. In the case of Adsense text ads, a click will merely get you on average a few cents. Not too great, but a lot of clicks WILL ad up.

I'm not here to tell you about google Adsense though, I'm talking about ClickBank. So here's why this new Contextual Ad service puts google Adsense to shame. You can sign-up to this service for free, and then all you have to do is simply paste some code onto your pages. What happens next is that a javascript program scans your page for all the words that are contextually connected to the target market of different ClickBank products. It then converts those words into textlinks that link to ClickBank products. GENIUS!

Okay now, listen closely, here's where the viral marketing aspect comes into play. As someone is surfing your page they might click on an one of these unsuspecting links and be directed to a ClickBank product, and if they buy, you get the affiliate commission. Now if you refer others to this service, they will add it to their websites and when someone clicks on a link, their affiliate ID gets tracked to the product, but when the next person clicks on a link, YOUR affiliate ID gets tracked. Now if that person refers someone to the service who uses the code, then YOUR ID gets tracked to the 3rd click. Get the idea?

This is a 5 level system, which means you could get paid exponentially by referring more people who refer more people, and then your getting commissions from websites all over the internet in various niche markets.

The one disadvantage is that on your own website, you still only get YOUR affiliate ID tracked to every 5th click (Because the other 4 clicks go to your upline).

The key advantage here is in subaffiliate leverage. Multiplication is the factor of success with this viral marketing affiliate ad service. As you tell people, who each tell people, who each tell people, who each tell people, then it ends up being a lot of people in your downline really quickly.

Viral Video Resources

For those of you who want to make some viral videos to unleash to the web, I have a few resources that will help you get things going in the right direction.

First of all, I'd like to let you know about a service that will make things a lot easier for you in getting your viral video created and published on the internet. It's called FORscene which is put out by Forbidden Technologies. It's a web based video logging, editing, reviewing, and publishing tool.

This solution allows you to easily edit your viral videos and publish them in multiple formats easily via video podcasting, or in mobile phone sharing bluetooth formats. They can also host the videos for you, so that you will be guaranteed to have high speed video streaming for your viewers.

The other resources I wanted to mention to you are sites that you can publish your videos on.

If you read last weeks blog post on Viral Videos, then you already know about YouTube.com which is the top viral video site online.

Well here are a couple of other lesser known, yet still very popular sites where you can post your viral videos and watch them spread as viewers share them with their friends.

Both of these sites are great, receive a lot of traffic and have similar setups as YouTube with the ability to put videos on your favorites lists, and share viral videos with your friends.

Word has it that Russell Brunson and Stu McLaren (Two top Affiliate Managers/Marketers) have created a powerful viral video tool that will integrate affiliate cookies into your video sharing, so that you can share videos and if viewers buy the product advertised in the video, you'd get the commission as a referrer.
